You are not alone in this
You’re not broken. Your relationships just hurt right now.
If you are reading this, you are probably exhausted. Maybe you are tired of second-guessing your relationships, tired of family dynamics that leave you feeling small or guilty, or tired of a constant, quiet fear that the people you care about will eventually leave.
You don’t have to carry that weight alone anymore.
Why you are here (and what we will look at)
The struggles you are facing are usually not random. They are deeply rooted patterns — often shaped by early family dynamics or past experiences where emotional safety wasn’t guaranteed.
If you have attachment struggles
You might find yourself trapped in an anxious cycle (constantly needing reassurance, fearing abandonment, and over-analysing every shift in mood) or an avoidant cycle (shutting down or pulling away the moment someone gets too close).
If you have family conflict
You might feel trapped in painful patterns of criticism, enmeshment, or the heavy guilt of setting boundaries. Family gatherings might leave you feeling triggered, unheard, or walking on eggshells.
If you tend to be a people-pleaser
You likely spend all your energy keeping everyone else happy, only to realise your own needs have completely disappeared.
These aren’t flaws in your character. They are survival strategies — protective walls your mind and body built to keep you safe.
What counselling with me actually looks like
It is completely normal to wonder what actually happens inside a therapy room. You won’t just sit in silence, and you won’t be judged. Here is how we will work together to help you find relief:
We untangle the past (without getting stuck there)
We will look at your early blueprints — how your family system and past experiences taught you how to love, fight, or protect yourself. Understanding why you react the way you do takes away the self-blame.
We calm your nervous system
Relational trauma lives in the body. When you get triggered, your nervous system often reacts as if you are in physical danger. We will practise real, practical ways to help your body feel safe in the present moment.
We practise new ways of connecting
Counselling is a safe laboratory. Together, we will practise how to communicate your needs without guilt, how to tolerate healthy vulnerability, and how to build boundaries that protect your peace.
Your first step
You don’t need to have your story perfectly organised, and you don’t need to know all the answers before you reach out. Showing up exactly as you are — with all your messy, beautiful, complicated human emotions — is more than enough.
Take a deep breath. You are safe here, and help is available.
